Continuing its tradition of collaboration with academic institutions, the Philippine Rubber Research Institute (PRRI) recently hosted faculty members from the Josefina H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC) – Dumingag Campus on June 4, 2024. Spearheaded by their On-the-Job Training (OJT) Coordinator, Mr. Wenmark Magallon, they paid a courtesy visit at the PRRI – Research Experimental Station in Aroman, Carmen, North Cotabato.
The faculty expressed their interest in collaborating with PRRI to provide opportunities for practical experience through on-the-job training for their BS Agriculture-Crop Science. Mr. Meynard Abello, Senior Science Research Specialist, together with Mr. Ding M. Sultan, Station Superintendent, welcomed them by taking them for a spin in the rubber nursery. They were introduced to the application of an Improved Rubber Production Technology.
PRRI has been a gateway to providing opportunities for practical experience through on-the-job training in partnership with esteemed academic institutions. This serves as a testament to PRRI’s dedication to educating a new generation of agricultural scientists and enthusiasts under the leadership of Executive Director Cheryl L. Eusala, a former educator herself.
