- Doctorate degree in any science, engineering, management courses;
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Principally responsible for the effective and efficient function of the Division/Program through proper management and supervision;
- Provide expert oversight in the collection, maintenance, characterization, and management of rubber germplasm, ensuring the integrity and viability of genetic resources critical for breeding programs.
- Supervise the design and implementation of breeding programs focused on developing high-yield rubber clones with disease resistance and adaptability to environmental challenges.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of data management systems for tracking germplasm and breeding program progress.
- Lead the strategic planning of GRID’s activities, ensuring alignment with PRRI goals and participation in policy formulation for genetic resource conservation.
- Identity and and pursue funding opportunities for research initiatives, including the preparation of grant proposals.
- Establish key performance indicators for the breeding programs and research activities and assess the outcomes and impact on rubber production and sustainability,
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director
Requirements
