Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia — The Philippine Rubber Research Institute (PRRI), led by Executive Director Cheryl L. Eusala, once again brought pride to the country as it took the spotlight on the international stage during the International Rubber Research and Development Board (IRRDB) Plant Protection Workshop held on August 11, 2025.
PRRI showcased groundbreaking innovations to global delegates as ED Eusala delivered a compelling presentation titled “The Nexus of Science, Policy, and Community Action: A Collaborative Approach to Combating PLFD and Protecting Rubber Farmers’ Livelihood.”
Her discussion highlighted the Institute’s innovative strategies in addressing Pestalotiopsis Leaf Fall Disease (PLFD) and emphasized the vital role of inter-agency collaboration, particularly with the Department of Labor and Employment, in safeguarding the livelihood of rubber farmers. The insightful presentation captured the attention and earned recognition from international participants, reaffirming PRRI’s commitment to advancing sustainable solutions for the rubber industry encapsulating PRRI’s goal of delivering GOMAgaang Buhay to the Filipino rubber farmers.
