The Genetic Resources and Improvement Division (GRID) of the Philippine Rubber Research Institute (PRRI) successfully conducted its collegial review of research proposals in response to the Department of Agriculture – Bureau of Agricultural Research (DA-BAR) Call for Proposals last October 27, 2025.
@The activity served as an avenue for researchers to present ten (10) proposed research studies addressing key issues in rubber disease management, genetic conservation, improvement, and production sustainability. The collegial review was evaluated by Dr. Narceo B. Bajet, former balik-scientist along with GRID’s Division Chief, Dr. Marry Joy P. Flores, who both provided valuable insights and technical guidance to further strengthen the proposals before endorsement to funding agency.
This initiative highlights PRRI-GRID’s continued commitment to advancing science-based innovations and developing research programs that support the growth and competitiveness of the Philippine rubber industry.
Through collaboration, expertise, and innovation, we build a stronger foundation for sustainable rubber development!
