The Philippine Rubber Research Institute participated in the Rubber Conference, where Dr. Jill D. Villanueva, OIC-Chief of the Crop Management Division, presented on behalf of Director Cheryl L. Eusala. Her presentation focused on PRRI initiatives aligned with the Bagong Pilipinas agenda, talking about Production Support Services, Research and Development, and Education and Training Services. She also discussed PRRIโ€™s ongoing efforts to combat rubber diseases and international engagements among others. The event aimed to accelerate innovative approaches in the rubber industry and support smallholder farmers, fostering global partnerships to enhance productivity.
The rubber conference was held from September 26-28, 2024 at the Acacia Hotel in Davao City with the theme: โ€œRubber: New Frontiers, New Marketsโ€, organized by the Philippine Rubber Industry Association (PRIA) in partnership with Xida Communications.
