This Pesta Covenant was signed on May 12, 2023 during the celebration 13th Founding Anniversary of PRRI by all LGUs, partner agencies, and rubber stakeholders in the region to solve the Pestalotiopsis Leaf Fall Disease (PLFD) problem. PLFD is a serious disease that can cause significant damage to rubber plantations. It is caused by a fungus that infects the leaves of rubber trees, causing them to fall prematurely. This can lead to a decrease in latex production and a loss of income for farmers. This Pesta Covenant is a significant step in the fight against PLFD. By working together, all stakeholders involved in the Philippine rubber industry can effectively control this disease and protect the industry. It is a sign of hope for the future of this important industry.
