Under the leadership of Executive Director Dr. Cheryl L. Eusala, the Philippine Rubber Research Institute (PRRI) is advocating for improved rubber technology to uplift the rubber farming community in the Philippines.
In collaboration with the Local Government Unit (LGU), PRRI, through its extension armโthe Rubber Technology and Extension Services Division (RTESD)โsuccessfully conducted an extensive Capacity Development Training Program for 30 dedicated rubber farmers and tappers.
This comprehensive program took place over two consecutive days in Trento, Agusan Del Sur, on September 4-5, 2024. It featured five core modules designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of smallholder rubber farmers nationwide, focusing on improved technology in tapping management.
