The Philippine Rubber Research Institute (PRRI) reaffirmed its commitment to empower rubber farmers and strengthen the industry by expressing its full support to all the rubber cooperatives of Zamboanga Sibugay present during the Federation of Agrarian Reform Multi-purpose Cooperative’s (FAARMCO) 13th General Assembly Meeting at GARBEMCO, Kabasalan Zamboanga Sibugay.

PRRI Executive Director, Cheryl L. Eusala, Ph. D. conveyed her heartfelt greetings through Dr. Girlie Saludo, OIC-Chief of Rubber Technology and Extension Services Division (RTESD), who highlighted the theme of the event, “sa panabang sa Dios ug diha sa panaghiusa walay dili makaya” (with God’s guidance and unity, nothing is impossible),” and its resonance with PRRI’s vision and mission.

The message of Director Eusala reverberates to everyone as she emphasized that “the rubber industry is a vital pillar of the Philippine economy, and its continued success hinges on our collective efforts. Just as the rubber tree thrives through its strong root system, our industry flourishes through the unity of its stakeholders.”

FAARMCO’s annual assembly serves as a crucial platform for the federation to showcase its achievements, address industry challenges, and solidify its internal unity. PRRI reaffirmed its commitment to empower farmers and processors, pledged continued support by providing “research-based solutions, knowledge, and technology.” This altogether happened during the the oath-taking ceremony of FAARMCO’s new officers.
