Dr. Girlie Saludo and Engr. Evangeline Garcia from the Rubber Technology and Extension Services Division of PRRI recently attended and successfully completed the Intellectual Property Masterclass (IPMC) organized by the Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic, and Natural Resources Research and Development (DOST-PCAARRD). Their participation in the Oath Taking as Associate Members of the Association of PAQE – ‘Patent Agent Qualifying Examination’ Professionals (APP) further solidified their expertise in intellectual property rights.
The IPMC, a part of the Regional Agri-Aqua Innovation System Enhancement (RAISE) Program of Region IX, aimed to enhance technology commercialization in the agricultural and aquatic sectors. The program provided comprehensive mentorship to 78 graduates from 39 institutions across the country, equipping them with essential knowledge and skills through modules such as the IPMC, Technology Commercialization Mentorship Series (TCMS), Agribusiness Master Class (ABMC), and Technology Promotion Mentorship Series (TPMS).
The success of PRRI personnel at the IPMC graduation reflects the dedication and expertise of the PRRI team in driving progress and sustainable development in the agricultural and aquatic sectors. Their achievements serve as an inspiration to their peers and contribute to the overall growth of the Philippine agricultural industry.
