The 1st ZamPen Rubber Forum has been successfully conducted virtually (via zoom) in July 15, 2021. Philippine Rubber Research Institute (PRRI) spearheads the virtual activity in collaboration with the Regional Development Council (RDC) 9 and National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) 9. The virtual activity was attended by 241 rubber stakeholders from Zamboanga Peninsula.
Among the participants were delegates from RDC 9 office, region 9 Regional Offices, Provincial and Municipal LGUs from Zamboanga del Sur, Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga Sibugay, Zamboanga City, Private Sectors, and Non-Government Organizations.
ZamPen Rubber Forum effectively achieved its goal in providing a venue for the rubber stakeholders in Zamboanga Peninsula to discuss their concerns in the rubber sector and generate recommendations to address them.
Rubber stakeholders had been given an opportunity through this event to raise issues on rubber, share their ideas, and come up with solutions to counter the problems for the possible increase of income and improved rubber products.
