The Philippine Rubber Research Institute (PRRI) partners with Carmen National High School to host the OJT program for their Senior High School Students. As an extension of its collaborative efforts with students, PRRI accepted the partnership and formalized it through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signed between PRRI Executive Director Cheryl L. Eusala, and representatives from Carmen National High School, Ms. Ana Kristine G. Matte and Ms. Kyla Michelle B. Cerbito, both holding the position of Teacher II. The MOA signing took place on April 2, 2024, at the PRRI Experimental Station in Carmen, North Cotabato.

This is PRRI’s way of helping the youth develop their talents. The OJT program serves as a vital link between theoretical knowledge and real-world application. It not only deepens students’ understanding of agricultural practices but also equips them with the essential skills needed to tackle future career challenges. Under the guidance of experienced PRRI staff, these students will have the opportunity to actively participate in real-world activities related to agricultural development, specifically pertaining to rubber industry.

The activities of the OJTs at PRRI Experimental Station, Carmen, North Cotabato include assisting in seed bedding, planting, field layout, and supporting the operations of the rubber nursery.

PRRI’s commitment to this partnership aligns with its goal of advancing agricultural progress and developing the next generation of industry leaders. This collaboration represents a shared vision for a sustainable future, where knowledge opens the door for breakthroughs in agricultural research, going beyond educational enrichment.
