IPIL, ZAMBOANGA SIBUGAY – In a display of solidarity and unity with the local workforce, the Philippine Rubber Research Institute (PRRI) actively participated in the entire 122nd Labor Day Celebration organized by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)-Ipil on Wednesday, May 1st, 2024.

The celebratory spirit of the Labor Day continued to ignite during the parade as PRRI employees along with other national and local agencies and organizations drove through the streets of Ipil in procession with colorful balloons way up to the Capitol Hills, where the formal program was held at the Provincial Capitol’s Atrium Hall. The whole-day event carried the theme “Sa Bagong Pilipinas: Manggagawang Pilipino, Kabalikat at Kasama Sa Pag-Asenso,” which included the distribution of livelihood kits to associations, the awarding of DOLE’s Government-Internship-Program (GIP) stipends, and the official opening of the Job Fair, One-Stop-Shop, and Laro ng Lahi events.

This year’s Labor Day celebration has indeed highlighted the importance of Filipino workers in nation-building and PRRI is proud to have joined and witnessed such memorable festivities in their honor!

Mabuhay ang lahat ng mga manggagawang Pilipino! Mabuhay ang #Bagong Pilipinas!
