Following the initial success of this training, PRRI continues to empower local rubber farmers with advanced techniques in rubber tapping through its extended training program titled – the Training on Low Frequency (LF) and Upward (S/4) rubber tapping, funded by DOST-PCAARRD for our rubber farmers.
The latest sessions were held in Naga and Malangas, Zamboanga Sibugay, bringing together cooperative members and individual farmers for hands-on learning and demonstrations.

About 30 individuals participated coming from two cooperatives, TARBEMCO and SARBEMCO, along with individual rubber farmers from three barangays. It was held at the SARBEMCO hall, with practical demonstrations conducted at the TARBEMCO rubber farm.

Held at Barangay Candiis, 35 individual rubber farmers were able to attend and wer able to learn and improve their tapping skills. The focus remained on the S/4 tapping method, with PRRI instructors providing step-by-step guidance and practical demonstrations.
We are hoping that this continued effort to extend this training only results in productivity and sustainability in the long run. As PRRI continues its mission to support and develop the rubber industry in the Philippines, we make sure that the programs of the current administration of President Marcos and the Department of Agriculture are visibly felt by the masses. Of course, with the leadership and guidance of our very supportive Executive Director, Cheryl L Eusala, Ph.D., the beloved rubber farmers are ensured of a more progressive future. We see to it that we are investing into their lives, just as we consider them as partners, not just producers, in the industry.
