EDCLE conducts site visit in Aroman Rubber Nursery

PRRI Executive Director, Dr. Cheryl Lazaga Eusala (EDCLE), conducted a site visit to the PRRI Rubber Nursery to provide proper nursery guidance and personally oversee the farmworkers on the implementation of improved technology in preparation for the upcoming Regional Committee Meeting today – October 22, 2024.

EDCLE aims to showcase the products of this improved technology as the flagship program of PRRI under her leadership to the attending regional directors. During the visit, she also held a meeting with DA-ARES Center Chief Mr. Bing Sultan and Agricultural Program Coordinating Officer Mr. Rey Domingo to discuss the possibility of securing an additional area for the budwood garden, as well as her intention to build a multi-purpose building to facilitate future meetings, training, and other activities.

Director Eusala’s dream of achieving “Goma-gaang Buhay” for the entire rubber farming community is slowly coming to fruition. The seeds of this vision are being sown day by day, and soon they will sprout in ways we may not even anticipate.

October 21, 2024 || PRRI Executive Director, Dr. Cheryl Lazaga Eusala (EDCLE) attended a flag-raising ceremony in PRRI Aroman Experimental Station, Cotabato Province, recognized as the center for nursery propagation. During her address, Director Eusala emphasized the importance of PRRI Aroman Staff learning the Improved Technology in Rubber Production to be able to properly amplify this vital information to all stakeholders.
EDCLE commended all the hardworking staff for their strong work practices, unity, and dedication to service. Kudos to the PRRI-Aroman Team! All the best towards GOMA-gaang Buhay!

RADYO BISDAK – IPIL, ZSP || October 17, 2024 – PRRI Executive Director, Dr. Cheryl Lazaga Eusala appeared as a guest on the weekly afternoon radio program hosted by the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) – IX on Radyo Bisdak. During the program, ED Eusala provided updates on the current status of PRRI and its ongoing projects and activities. She highlighted the state of rubber production in the Philippines and discussed various intervention programs aimed at supporting small-scale rubber farmers to alleviate their economic conditions.

ED Eusala emphasized that the bureau is actively creating programs and activities designed to assist rubber farmers in achieving a better quality of life, encapsulated in the initiative “GOMA-gaang buhay.”

PRRI Conducts Rubber Plantation Assessment in STRPC  Sta. Ana, Laguna

𝗥𝗥𝗜 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗥𝘂𝗯𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗣𝗖 𝗦𝘁𝗮. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮 𝗟𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗻𝗮
October 15-17, 2024 || The Philippine Rubber Research Institute (PRRI) has conducted an assessment at the request of the Southern Tagalog Rubber Producers Cooperative (STRPC) to evaluate their rubber plantation for possible financial assistance in establishing six Village Level Processing Plants (VLPP) across six clusters in Southern Tagalog. Executive Director Dr. Cheryl Lazaga Eusala responded to the request by sending a team led by Dr. Girlie Saludo and Engr. Claire Nova Abdulatip to address STRPC’s needs. The findings of their assessment will be endorsed to the Director for appropriate action.
This is one among PRRI’s powers and functions: to enhance local rubber production and support cooperatives in improving the livelihoods of rubber farmers across the country.
