๐’๐ž๐ฉ๐ญ๐ž๐ฆ๐›๐ž๐ซ ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ, ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ’, ANTIPAS, COTABATO || PRRI Executive Director, Dr. Chery L. Eusala participated in the 3rd Quarter Meeting of the Philippine Council for Agriculture and Fisheries (PCAF) National Sectoral Committee on Rubber, held in Antipas, Cotabato together with Mr. Jess Bryan Alvariรฑo (GRID), Ms. Honey Gumay (GRID), and Ms. Girlie Saludo (OIC-Chief, RTESD).

Mr. Jess Bryan Alvariรฑo provided updates on the upcoming national rubber industry summit. Dr. Girlie Saludo presented the PRRI programs for CY 2024 and discussed the Farmer Cooperative Associations (FCAs) interested in joining the PCAF High-Value Crops (HVC) initiative on rubber. Additionally, Ms. Honey Gumay shared insights on the Project Result regarding Latex Yield Evaluation of Conventional (S2) and Novel (S4) Rubber Tapping Systems. This project has garnered significant support through a formal resolution.  

After the adjournment of the PCAF meeting, the PRRI team conducted a brief session with local rubber farmers to address some of their concerns and queries. This interaction aimed to foster communication and strengthen relationships with the farming community.

Additionally, the meeting covered various other agenda items, including the status of Administrative Orders related to pests. Overall, numerous resolutions were passed to ensure the development and sustainability of the rubber industry, reflecting a strong commitment from all stakeholders involved.

The PCAF meeting in Antipaz, Cotabato was the joint effort of rubber industry leaders to work collaboratively toward the growth and sustainability of the sector patungo sa GOMA-gaang buhay!
