PRRI Attends  Workshop on Basic Monitoring and Evaluation Capacity Training  to Strengthen DRRM

𝗣𝗥𝗥𝗜 𝗔𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗠&𝗘 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗗𝗥𝗥𝗠 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗹

Mr. Ariel O. Vilar, Senior Science Research Specialist and DRRM Alternate Focal Person Ariel O. Vilar of the Philippine Rubber Research Institute (PRRI) participated in a workshop on Basic Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Training for Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Personnel Phase II, held in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan from August 26-30, 2024. The training aimed to improve the M&E skills of DRRM personnel from the Department of Agriculture’s regional offices.

PRRI’s participation in this training aims to align with departmental frameworks with national strategies related to response, recovery measures, and disaster risk management throughout the Philippines.

PRRI Welcomes ACPC Visit

𝙋𝙍𝙍𝙄 𝙒𝙚𝙡𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙨 𝘼𝘾𝙋𝘾 𝙑𝙞𝙨𝙞𝙩

#𝙄𝘾𝙔𝙈𝙄 – September 2, 2024 || The Philippine Rubber Research Institute (PRRI) recently welcomed Ms. Joan Dela Cruz and her colleagues from the Agriculture Credit Policy Council (ACPC) for a visit aimed at helping the rubber farming community by exploring potential credit lines to improve the livelihoods of rubber farmers in the country. During the meeting, Mr. Meynard Abello, Senior Science Research Specialist (SSRS) of the Crop Management Division (CMD) presented the improved technology in rubber production, showcasing promising advancements that could lead to higher income for farmers as compared to the traditional approach.

PRRI is committed to improving the livelihoods of the Philippine rubber sector through financial and technological support – patungo sa GOMA-gaang Buhay!

PRRI ICT Staff Joins API Development Training

Two PRRI ICT Staff members, Mr. Glenn Corpuz and Mr. Jose Rico Mañalac attended a seminar on Application Programming Interface (API) Development Training (Node.JS and Expres.JS Framework) at Hacienda Gracia Resort Hotel, Lubao, Pampanga on August 27-30, 2024. The training aims to support the digitalization of all DA agencies and bureaus that aligns with the DA Secretary’s mandate to harmonize data across the Department of Agriculture.
PRRI provides support for the career growth and personal development of its employees through access to training opportunities offered by the Department of Agriculture (DA).

PROVINCIAL CAPITOL, IPIL HEIGHTS || The Philippine Rubber Research Institute (PRRI) actively participated in the motorcade parade organized by the Civil Service Commission – Region IX today, September 9, 2024. The motorcade parade started from Ipil Airport grounds and went to the Atrium Provincial Capitol Site, Ipil Heights Zamboanga Sibugay, where the program proper began. In fact, various national government agencies, regional offices, and local government units were well-represented during the roll call. The renowned speaker, Atty. Mario Cunting, Director III of Zamboanga Sibugay Satellite Office, mentioned in his speech about transforming public service by being ready for the future as servant heroes.
By actively participating, the institute showcased its commitment to public service and harnessing community involvement towards GOMA-gaang buhay!
